Gyál is a center of the Gyál district in Pest county , in the Budapest agglomeration .
From the beginning of the nineties, significant investments also appeared at the level of the national economy. Due to the proximity of highways, larger plants and logistics centers have been established in the city. Today, hundreds of entrepreneurs and businesses operate in industry, offering a wide range of services in commerce.
Today, a network of institutions capable of serving the population of the catchment area has been established: a music school, a vocational secondary school, a library, a specialized doctor’s office, pharmacies, a regional waterworks, a sewerage plant and a waste management company. In the city, all public utilities (electricity, gas, drinking water, sewage, telephone, internet) have been completed. In the coming years, the consolidation of public roads, the construction of storm drains and the construction of sidewalks will give the municipality a serious task.
Residents had to go to Dabas earlier if their IDs had to be renewed. Today, the regional document office and guardianship office can also be found here. The strengthening of public safety is ensured by a higher level of police and civil guard , and a volunteer fire brigade is also on standby. Gyál is the center of the district that unites the surrounding settlements. There is also a health service serving the surrounding settlements.
