Kauppahalli has served for more than 100 years as a shopping & meeting place in Vaasa. We merchants are proud of the Gothic-style market hall building and the atmosphere that echoes its history. Vaasa Shopping Hall is one of the oldest and protected in the country.The hall was built in two parts, the first part, on the Vaasanpuistikko side, was completed in 1902 and the second towards Kauppapuistikko in 1927. Since 1963, customers have been able to move freely between the upper and lower halls via a transport connection.

Come to the market hall to have lunch, enjoy a cup of cappuccino, for example, and buy fresh snacks home – all easily under one roof! There are also a variety of special delicacies to pamper your taste buds, which you can only find from us in the market hall.
