Welcome to the Zaanse Verhalenbank. A place where stories come together from and for Zaankanters about the Zaan region. Big stories, small stories about living, living, working in the Zaanstreek. Memories from personal experience as well as stories from family and friends are recorded by story collectors who are associated with the project as volunteers.

The Zaans Museum store offers a wide range for every taste. For young and old, typically Dutch and Zaans. You will find beautiful design products specially made for the Zaans Museum. You have also come to the right place for gift packages and customized promotional gifts.

MuseumCafé

From the Museum Café you have a beautiful view of the typical Dutch landscape with a windmill panorama. Enjoy a delicious cup of coffee or tea from Simon Lévelt with fresh pastries or savory snacks.
Free WiFi is available in the Museum Café.

We can also provide catering on request.

Parking

Parking is available in the Zaanse Schans car park, right next to the Zaans Museum.

Close to the entrance of the Zaans Museum, some parking spaces are reserved for disabled people.

Public transport

Zaandijk-Zaanse Schans station is within walking distance and the bus stop of bus line 391 from Amsterdam CS is next to the Zaans Museum.

Accessibility

The Zaans Museum is easily accessible for the disabled; there is a disabled toilet and all floors are accessible by lift. Unfortunately, wheelchairs with a large or tilted seat do not always fit in the lift. Admission is free for supervisors. Assistance dogs are allowed in.
