Viru Bog is a bog in Harju County, Estonia. The area of the bog is 235 ha.
Thickness of peat layer is about 6 m.
Viru bog study trail (3.5 km)
3.5 km is the length of the trail from one end to the other, the length of the circle is 6 km. The trail introduces the highland landscape and vegetation typical of Estonia.
To preserve the vegetation and soil, please only move on the boardwalk! It is forbidden to ride a bicycle on the boardwalk!

Disability opportunity | The trail can be passed with a wheelchair (also with a pram) to the observation tower a total of 1410 m (800 m gravel paved footpath and 610 m boardwalk). It is possible to drive a wheelchair to the first platform of the observation tower, to use an assistant when the observation tower rises (the corresponding information is also available on the information stand). The disabled toilet is in the parking lot at the beginning of the trail. |
