Odense Medical Clinic

Denmark

What can Odense Lægeklinik offer?

We offer a medical practice which, by virtue of its staff composition, can diagnose and treat a wide range of health problems. The clinic employs 3 doctors, 2 midwives, 3 secretaries, 1 social and health assistant, 1 physiotherapist / dietician, 1 psychiatrist and medical student.
We emphasize service, accessibility and a high professional level with the patient at the center.

Our primary goal is to offer the patient the optimal treatment with a focus on physical and psychosocial issues. Our composition of staff provides the optimal opportunities for the patient to be offered the best treatment as well as targeted work with health-promoting initiatives. The clinic follows national recommendations regarding treatment and follow-up of chronic disorders such as diabetes and high blood pressure etc.

We prioritize being up to date in the field of health sciences and are therefore always up to date with new knowledge. Thus, there are requirements for doctors and staff to regularly participate in continuing and further education.

The clinic actively participates in the training of new doctors as well as other health professionals and emphasizes a dynamic and innovative learning environment.

We are located in completely newly furnished rooms with the latest technical equipment. Our opening hours are flexible and ensure optimal access to medical care for the patient. We offer, among other things, health checks and control of chronic diseases until kl. 19 on weekdays.

Blood tests

Blood samples can be taken every weekday in the period 07.20 – 10.00 and can only be booked by telephone contact to the clinic on 66 14 00 00 or by attending the clinic.

In our laboratory we perform a number of blood and urine tests, electrocardiogram recording and lung function test. In addition, blood samples are taken for examination at the hospital laboratory. Laboratory tasks are handled by our secretary, midwife or medical student.

Prevention

Today, there is a great focus on prevention, especially within the so-called “lifestyle diseases”. such as obesity, high blood pressure, tobacco / alcohol abuse, diabetes, atherosclerosis and stress. We place great emphasis on addressing the mentioned conditions through investigation and conversation. This is an interdisciplinary task that everyone in the clinic has a great interest in and actively participates in.

We also prevent cervical cancer through cell samples in women aged 23-64 years. Cervical cancer is a serious form of cancer that costs almost 200 women in Denmark their lives every year. Every year approx. 400 women were diagnosed with cervical cancer. Women aged 23-49 are invited for screening for cervical cancer every three years, and women aged 49-64 every five years. Invitations will expire at age 64 if the most recent tests within 10 years have been normal.

In addition, all women between the ages of 50 and 69 are offered to participate in mammography examination.
You can, of course, ask for a consultation to discuss prevention options
