THE STORY
ST PLAST was founded in 1991 on the simple idea of delivering better packaging and at the same time using fewer raw materials for the task than the market’s other suppliers.
This was thus the start of ST PLAST today developing and producing plastic packaging which is used in fully automatic processing plants in large parts of the food industry and other industries in Northern Europe.
We have constantly needed more space for both production and storage, and after making several minor expansions, we made the decision in 2007 to move to the current domicile on Falkevej in Esbjerg. With the move, we finally got the space requirement covered, but we also got the opportunity to arrange a modern and rational production, which later led to hygiene certification being achieved. Based on this, ST PLAST’s modern machine park produces its high-quality products under high efficiency, and today we supply plastic packaging for cakes, cream buns, potatoes and other vegetables, as well as more technical products such as transport trays and sales displays.
GOALS AND VISION
At ST PLAST, we have a vision to be the market’s preferred choice in the development of packaging solutions. Likewise, the solutions must help to create increased competitiveness for customers, as well as contribute to positive experiences for consumers when using the packaging.
We will choose the right materials for the customer and the consumer, develop innovative packaging solutions, participate in process optimizations with the customers, and produce more efficiently than the competitors.
We want to be the market leader in the customer segments chosen, and our packaging must be produced in a safe and good working environment, and constantly with food safety as the most important parameter.
PRODUCTION FACILITIES
At the domicile on Falkevej in Esbjerg, we have 13,000 m 2 under roof, which contains production, storage and administration. Since ST PLAST started with the first plant in May 1991, there have been 10 fully automatic thermoform lines in production, as well as 2 IML injection molding machines. The production is designed with food safety, energy efficiency and both environmental and working environment considerations as well as absolutely overriding parameters. Thus, the thermoform lines are equipped so that the ergonomics are top notch, and the lines produce with very high efficiency. Special equipment has been developed, which helps to ensure high quality, every time.
Actual waste does not exist in our production, and what does not end up in our products is processed and recycled, so that the resources in our precious raw materials are preserved in this way.
To ensure a high utilization of our plants, production is running around the clock from Monday to Friday and our dedicated team of technicians constantly makes sure to keep the plants serviced, maintained and updated, so we avoid unintentional downturns.
All registration at the factory is managed using barcodes, so we are constantly up to date with status, consumption, inventories and statistics on the products.
