The municipality of Neum, covering an area of 226 km², represents the part of Bosnia and Herzegovina with direct access to the Adriatic Sea, featuring a total of 24.5 kilometers of indented coastline.

As such, it is one of the most important tourist destinations in the country.

With its abundant natural resources, the area allows for diverse economic use, further emphasizing the importance of efficient and sustainable management of the municipality’s communal infrastructure.

Public Utility Company “Komunalno Neum” was founded in 1979 as a public company by the Municipality of Neum, primarily for the purpose of managing and maintaining the municipal water supply system.

The company currently employs 47 staff members, working across the Regional Water Supply System from Gabela through Hutovo to Neum, as well as in the administrative office and city maintenance services.
