Abádszalók

Abádszalók is a town in the Northern Great Plain region, Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok county , in the Kunhegyes district . The settlement of Abádszalók was established in 1895 by the unification of Tiszaabád and Tiszaszalók the county of Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok . Today it is a significant city in the tourist region of Lake Tisza and one of the most developed tourist centers of Lake Tisza after Tiszafüred .

Sights

  • The Reformed Church of Tiszaabad was built between 1787 and 1789 .
  • The present-day Reformed Church of Tiszaszalók was built between 1811 and 1822 . In 1842 its roof burned down and then in 1924 it was replaced with a new one.
  • The Roman Catholic Church of Tiszaszalók was built in 1744 in Baroque style. The equipment: the pulpit, the baptismal font is in braid style and was built around 1790 . His altarpieces were painted by Mihály Kovács, born in Abádszalók , in 1870 – 1873 .
  • Doll Museum: The exhibition features 156 wears from the Carpathian Basin on 360 dolls (56 cm authentic reduced copies) and 226 dolls from 65 countries around the world. The exhibition is constantly expanding.
  • Mill Inn: The Mill Inn is located on the part of Mikszáth Road towards the Tisza beach. The house was once the building of the Eppinger mill, in which the Abádszalók steam saw and steam mill operated from 1912 to 1913 .
  • Residential house ( Mikszáth u. 23.): Built in the second half of the 19th century in the classicist style.

The experience of an unforgettable holiday, the silence of the floodplain forests, the untouchedness of the backwaters, the solitude of the islands, the endless boat, canoe and kayak tours, or the walks along the Andalgic Tisza await the visitors. But if you are a lover of water sports or just like the atmosphere of the constant hustle and bustle of the beaches, the smell of fish soup, the special atmosphere of the various coastal events, Abádszalók means summer to you. Few people coming to our settlement know that our city has been a permanently inhabited countryside since the Neolithic Age. A XX. From the end of the century, Abádszalók became one of the most dynamically developing gems of Hungarian tourism. The Tisza water, which is swollen into a lake, provides perfect relaxation for families, young people and the elderly alike. The “Abádszalók Summer” series of events is fun, with its cultural and sports programs, it serves the meaningful spending and recreation of the leisure time of the population and their guests in the summer high season. The outstanding part of the program series is the “Beauty of Lake Tisza Choice” and the Lake Tisza swimming competition. Anyone can take part in sand soccer as well as volleyball competitions, but anyone who fattens rather than guts their tummy can also enter various gastronomic competitions. A visit to the Baby Museum can be a really interesting program for cooler days. The exhibition, which presents more than 150 types of wear from the Carpathian Basin to nearly 400 babies, mainly deals with the clothing of Hungarian settlements, but also includes costumes of Swabian, Saxon, Gypsy, Ruthenian, Ruthenian, Slovak, South Slavic, Croatian and other nationalities. A postcard, a descriptive text, can never say so much about a settlement, its inhabitants, hospitality as a personal encounter. The landscape, the people, the tastes can only be really known on the spot. Enjoy the caress of the Tisza breeze in Abádszalók!
