Young or old, who doesn’t know the Beatles? John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr: all huge names in the music world.
In the recently developed Cultural Corner of Alkmaar – close to the station – “The Beatles Museum Alkmaar” has gained an unmistakable place. In this museum you will find the largest private collection about the popular group from the 60s-70s The Beatles.
In the store you can browse endlessly between Beatles and Beatles related LPs, books and other things. Incidentally, it does not only concern Beatles or Beatles related matters, there is also room for other groups and artists.
A group of five experts will take you back in time and answer your questions.
In a gigantic building, spread over a space of 1200m², you will find a display of unique items from the Fab Four from Liverpool. No Beatles museum can rival the items on display here. Collect forty-one years, start over several times and then see your dream come true. That is what you can see in this special museum.
The museum is divided into five sections:
- The Beatles Museum
- Beatles souvenir shop; t-shirts, DVDs, CDs, gadgets, movies etc.
- Paperback writer shop; more than 100 books about The Beatles
- Collecters Paradise; this consists of two parts, one part contains second-hand comic books. In the second part you will find second-hand records, CDs and films.
- Movie spot
You can enjoy special sound and image recordings in the specially equipped room. You can have yourself photographed at Abbey Road or in front of the massive release of the Sgt. Pepper album cover. There is a possibility for guided tours and there are various themed exhibitions.
As a Beatles fan, you have to see and experience this museum. The low entrance fee of € 5.00 cannot be an obstacle.
