Björkhagaskolan is centrally located in a residential area with mixed housing. There is proximity to both the city center and scenic surroundings.

The school has about 500 students from preschool class up to grade 6. The business also has leisure centers for all ages. The school also has Tuvan, a municipality-wide activity for students diagnosed with autism.
