The history of the Opočno dairy dates back to 1936. It was built in the heart of eastern Bohemia in today’s Hradec Králové region. It processes the highest quality milk from the foothills of the Orlické Mountains, one of the least ecologically polluted areas.
In the past, the dairy was owned by the Dutch companies NUTRICIA and then Friesland. In June 2005, the sale of the dairy was successfully completed. BOHEMILK became the new owner. Since 1 January 2007, it has belonged to the InterLacto Group, which includes InterLacto , dairies in Jihlava, Olešnice and Opočno and other agricultural entities.
The main products of our company are fresh and durable milks, durable creams, large-volume packages of yoghurts and sour creams, butter and mixed butter. All these products are marketed under the BOHEMILK brand. The company also produces ice cream mixes under the MIXAR and FREDOMIX brands. The range is complemented by milk powders intended for industrial processing in factories.
The company’s management is convinced that success in business depends on customer satisfaction with the quality of delivered products. For this reason, it conceived its quality and health safety policy as part of the company’s overall strategy. The decisive goal of our dairy is that all products meet the requirements, needs and expectations of our customers. We want to ensure the long-term continuity and prosperity of our company, high work efficiency for the benefit of customers, shareholders and employees. This presupposes, in addition to the emphasis on the quality of the production process and final products, also care for the environment and compliance with generally applicable legislation.
Since 2001, we have held the ISO 9001: 1994 quality certificate, which we transformed into the ISO 9001: 2000 certificate in 2004. Since 2004, we have held the HACCP system certificate. We received an organic certificate for the production of yogurt.
In 2009, we obtained a certificate according to the IFS standard.
