At Bray Family Practice we aim to provide person centred, continuing and comprehensive care to our patients and their families, within their community. We work closely as a team to ensure your receive the highest quality care.

We offer a comprehensive range of GP services. We provide advice and treat common and less common, acute and chronic illnesses from childhood to the senior years.

We offer same day appointments for acute illnesses such as sore throats, urinary tract infections, earache, wounds requiring suturing and much more.

Women’s Health

Our doctors have many years of experience in dealing with women’s health and provide a full range of women’s health services including:

  • General medical services
  • Family planning
  • STI screening
  • Pregnancy care
  • Menopause consultation and HRT
  • Breast examination
  • Cervical smears

Men’s Health

In addition to regular GP services, we can provide relevant advice and screening for various conditions specific to men. These include:

  • Cancer ( Prostate for men over 40 )
  • Hypertension (blood pressure checks)
  • Diabetes
  • Hypercholesterolaemia
  • Erectile dysfunction
  • Mental Health problems
  • STI screening
  • We can also check your cardiac risk and arrange further investigations if necessary, either in our surgery or by further referral.

Child’s Health

All of the doctors at Bray Family Practice have worked in hospital paediatrics and have a wealth of experience caring for children and advising parents in primary care setting.

We are delighted to provide free care to those children aged under 6 who are registered with the practice. All parents must register their child online prior to using this service. This can be done here.

It is practice policy to always endeavour to see an unwell child as soon as possible. If your child is unwell with a fever, or, if you are worried, please let the receptionist know and we will try accommodate you.

Older People’s Care

Our team has extensive experience in dealing with the complex needs of our older population. We recognise the importance of aging with dignity and aim to maintain independence and quality of life. We work in conjunction with our primary care colleagues to try to identify older patients who require special assistance and need to access resources. We provide a number of services specific to the needs of older patients:

  • dementia screening and management
  • power of attorney and capacity assessments.

Mental Health

We deal with a variety of mental health issues on a daily basis. Whether you feel down, stressed or are just not coping. If you are struggling with addiction, compulsions or abnormal thoughts, we can provide advice, support and treatment where appropriate to help to get you back on track.
