The school was established in 1847, though it has only been in the present building since 1961.  We are a co-educational, 7 teacher school – 5 mainstream teachers, 1 SEN support teacher and a shared visiting  SEN teacher. We are a Church of Ireland primary school located on the Green Road in Carlow Town. Our school is under the patronage of the Church of Ireland Bishop of Cashel, Ferns  and Ossory and we serve the children from the Carlow Union of Parishes. We have a lovely, modern building, extended in 1981 and further extended and refurbished in 2008 and an impressive playing area for our pupils.
