The Carpmetal Srl company was founded in 1968 initially called “Calabria Ovidio Snc” . He began his business as a metal carpentry, specializing in the construction of gates, railings, garages, metal structures and related on-site assembly.

In 1974 he entered the lifting sector: first with the assembly of overhead cranes for third parties, then with the construction of runways only, until January 29, 1975 the first registration “Calabria Ovidio Snc” was inaugurated, as well as the first real overhead crane .

In 1978 the company expanded its horizons: in fact, the “Carpmetal di Calabria Ovidio e CSnc” was born , a company that deals entirely with the construction and installation of overhead cranes. Two years later, it moved to the new headquarters in Adro (Brescia), in a large production area, a place that still represents its headquarters today.

In 1982 Carpmetal further expands its production department by acquiring the company OTI, a company from Lecco that builds cranes. Strengthened by the investment just made, the company evolved to officially become “Carpmetal Srl” . A few years later, “Calabria Srl” also arises, which instead deals with mechanical processing performed with machine tools, lathes, machining centers but also with metal carpentry in general.

Since then, this company has been building double and single girder overhead cranes, gantry cranes, lame gantry cranes, jib cranes, bicycle cranes and special cranes, aimed at satisfying even the most particular needs. It also produces kits for the construction of overhead cranes, including wheel heads, winch trolleys, hoist trolleys and electrical systems, and accessories for lifting, such as sling bars, buckets, polyps, etc. All products of the highest professionalism and quality , designed and built directly in Italy.

In May 1988 the serial number 1000 was produced,
in April 1996 the number 2000
in 2003 the crane number 3000.
 

On 22nd September 2016, the achievement
of serial number 4000 was proudly celebrated , as it underlines the longevity and experience acquired in the lifting field.
 

In July 2015 the new company 4C Metal Service sas of Calabria Gianmario e C was born. The company specializes in the maintenance of overhead cranes, in addition to the plasma cutting and carpentry department.
