What is there to do in Creglingen?

A number of bicycle routes are to be found in the greater Creglingen area: It is possible, for example, to cycle from the Tauber valley over to the Main river valley.

Germany’s most famous vacation route, the “Romantic Road”, passes along the valley of the Tauber. Here also, there is a bicycle path which leads upstream to Rothenburg ob der Tauber and downstream to Weikersheim. Round trip paths through the various side valleys of the Tauber are also available.
The greater Creglingen area lies between 230 and 500 metres above sea level. It includes five side valleys of the Tauber, numerous biotopes, ruins of castles and uncommonly beautiful churches and landscapes.

We offer a total of 14 walking trails for those of our visitors who want to discover Creglingen on foot.

Please leave the motorway A3 (Frankfurt/Nürnberg) exit for Rothenburg ob der Tauber following the signs to the Bad Mergentheim directions or signs saying “Romantic Road”. You will arrive in Creglingen after about 20 km.

Bad Mergentheim

Please leave the motorway A81 (Stuttgart/Würzburg) exit for Boxberg/Bad Mergentheim and follow the signposts first to Bad Mergentheim and then to Rothenburg ob der Tauber. After about 30 km you will arrive in Creglingen.
