De Goudse Hout is an area of ​​approximately 100 ha in the Green Heart, located in the municipality of Gouda. It is a characteristic open peat meadow area, to which open water, ditches, many bridges & bushes have been added and that is intersected by cycling and walking paths. Here there is room for nature experiences and leisure activities for young and old.

The Green Alliance has recently formulated ambitions for biodiversity in the Goudse Hout. The value of these ambitions is reflected in the policy that is being developed. The discussions about dog policy, user policy and nature policy can be followed and understood from the Nature values ​​that the participants in those discussions have. The Green Alliance has the task of promoting the general interest and weighing up the partial interests that have been put forward within it.
