Demecser is a settlement in the northern part of Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg county , in Rétköz , next to the Lónyai main canal . Kék is 4 km away, Gégény is 3 km away, Dombrád is 11 km away, Berkesz is 5 km away and Székely is 6.5 km away. It can be reached by train on the Szolnok – Debrecen – Nyíregyháza – Záhony railway line .
