The Reformed Church was built in the eighteenth century .

Between 1840 and 1844 , the parents of Sándor Petőfi lived in the village , the poet’s father, István Petrovics , had a butcher’s chair here. Petőfi visited his parents in the first half of April 1844, staying in the village for more than two months. He flared in love for the local Zsuzsika Nagy. Numerous poems were also born here, including “Plan to Smoke,” “An Evening at Home,” “Loneliness,” “To Zsuzsika,” “Swan Song,” “After Lunch,” and “Do I Dream?” and poetry entitled “Deak path” and ” Remote “,  which has been the municipality anthem.

The settlement still preserves the memory of the poet. There are also two statues here: one of them is the bust in front of Sándor Petőfi Primary School , which was erected in 1948 . Nearby used to be Petőfi’s father’s butcher’s chair. The sculpture was made of limestone by sculptor Sándor Szandai and was unveiled during the millennium celebrations. The two-life-size statue was placed on a 180-centimeter column foundation, which stands on a two-step, two-meter and 55-centimeter concrete foundation. On the front is Petőfi’s name with a Kossuth coat of arms . The production of the sculpture was supported from several settlements (Dunavecse, Apostag , Dunaegyháza , Dunapataj , Dunatetétlen, Harta , Solt , Szalkszentmárton ). The other statue is the work of Tamás Szűts , the statement of which was decided by the local government, but the inhabitants also contributed to its realization. The statue in the park has a bronze granite pedestal, is two meters high and faces the “Little Lak”. The poet’s parents lived in a house nearby. It was inaugurated on March 15, 2007.

In 1954, a landscape museum was established, where the Petőfi exhibition can be seen.

The Szekler Gate , erected in the Millennium Memorial Park , which was the work of the wood carver Imre Berkeczi from Odorheiu Secuiesc and was a gift from the people of Homoródszentmártonian, has been adorning the city since 1998 . Next to it, the faun statue has been adorning the Millennium Memorial Park since 1996 , but since 1967 it has been a characteristic and well-known public sculpture in Dunavecse. The creator of the sculpture, Sándor Boldogfai Farkas, was a student of Zsigmond Kisfaludi Strobl at the college and exhibited it from 1930.
