The Espoo Car Museum is located in Espoo , north of Lake Bodominjärvi , a few kilometers from Ring Road III . It is also called the Pakankylä Car Museum after the name of the village. The museum records Finnish road traffic history, preserves both preservable and restored vehicles and presents them to the public.
The Espoo Car Museum, founded in 1979, is one of the oldest continuously operating vehicle museums in Finland. The museum building is a red granite stone barn of Pakankylä Manor , built in 1915. The museum is maintained by the Espoo Automuseo ry.
Exhibitions
More than 200 vehicles are on display at the Espoo Car Museum. There are about a hundred cars and almost the same number of two-wheelers, such as motorcycles , mopeds and bicycles . In addition, you can see small items from former garages, repair shops and homes, such as measuring equipment, tools, tube radios and sewing machines .
The museum has annual themed exhibitions.
