Haartman Hospital is an emergency hospital operating in the Meilahti hospital area in Helsinki . Haartman Hospital treats adults in need of emergency care in the southern, central and western parts of Helsinki. 

The hospital has the following functions :

• joint emergency clinic 
• emergency and control department
• four on-call support of wards
• internal medicine outpatient clinic
• joint dental emergency in the metropolitan area
• laboratory and imaging services supporting the operation of the hospital

The joint emergency service consists of a health center emergency service serving the residents of southern, central and western Helsinki in the evenings, at night and on weekends, as well as basic internal medicine and basic surgical emergency services without surgery. The emergency service is supported by four wards with a focus on cardiology , problem microbes and acute care for drug addicts . The wards have a total of 94 beds.
