In January 1995, a specialist in medical biochemistry, graduated biochemist Olga Mihajlović, founded the first private medical laboratory for clinical diagnosis in Valjevo district. That laboratory stayed “always first” in many ways:
- first public health institution that has been receiving patients throughout the whole day;
- laboratory with opened door on weekends too;
- laboratory with all necessary technical and legal certificates that performs tasks from the largest number of medical branches;
and the first laboratory, with regular professional supervision, to get the prestigious certificate for satisfying the conditions prescribed by law and that can begin the process of obtaining certificates and accreditations for participation in projects of the World Health Organization.
Innovation, expertise, commitment and professionalism of the staff, the reliability of the results brought in hundreds of citizens to the door of medical laboratory “HEMIKAL” whose satisfaction led medical lab “HEMIKAL” into Polyclinic “HEMIKAL” in January 2005. New premises, new Founding Act and Statute defines Polyclinic “HEMIKAL” as a Health Institution with a wide range of services for patients but also with other health institutions (Hospitals, Sanatoriums, Institutes, Private medical ordinations…) not only in terms of laboratory diagnostics but also in specialized examination of children and adults, specialist ordinations, ultrasound cabinets, cardiology cabinets, field service and continuous specialization of employees. All of these possibilities brought Polyclinic “HEMIKAL” on the threshold of the Health Center.
So, the idea born 12 years ago, in January 2007, was achieved – the first Private Health Center, named “HEMIKAL”, started operating in Valjevo and Valjevo region.
The main goal of the use of resources of the Health Center Hemikal is based on the idea that all service users get the best possible health care and that the number of healthy people increases. In order to achieve this goal, we have built not only modern health facilities, but also a positive attitude towards work which is reflected in the ongoing initiative, high responsibility and discipline in the execution of all tasks related to patients. Therefore, we influence the consciousness of every individual and show the importance of individual’s own responsibility for personal health. Each of our patient is the same as another, everyone is given maximum attention with the idea that the patient is “his own doctor” and Health Center Hemikal, as selected Health Institution with selected patient’s doctor, is his friend, recognized in every moment, to whom he can always rely on in protection of his health.
HEALTH CENTER HEMIKAL is The Institution of Primary Health Care in which the activities of employees are focused on ensuring that every man is a specific individual who, thanks to our work, expresses happiness, love and life satisfaction.
