Hérouville-Saint-Clair is a commune in the Calvados department in the Normandy region in northwestern France. It is a suburb of the city of Caen, and lies adjacent to it in a northeasterly direction, along the west side of the Canal de Caen à la Mer. Its inhabitants are called Hérouvillais. Just across the canal from Hérouville is a Renault Trucks manufacturing plant, which is situated between the canal and the Orne River. Just east of the river is the town of Colombelles.

• The St. Vincent chapel , a relic of the xiii ^th  century a dependence of the Abbey d’Ardenne , which is the subject of a registration under the Historic Monuments sinceOctober 29, 2004.
• The new Saint-François church.
• The Hérouville mosque , located near the Bois de Lébisey. With a capacity of 700 people, it was inaugurated onJuly 30, 2011.

Events 

• Carnival.
• Des Planches et des Caches comic festival organized by the Artefact Prod association. It welcomes more than 2,500 visitors every first weekend in April and celebrated its tenth anniversary inapril 2011.
• Festival Beauregard  concerts in the castle park Beauregard ( 1 ^st editionjuly 2009). The 2012 edition was estimated at more than 50,000 spectators and between 88,000 and 90,000 spectators in 2016.
• Feast of the communities: gathering in the Beauregard park (previously it took place on the Place de l’Europe). The originality of this event lies mainly in the fact that the various communities present in the city (European, African, Asian…) each have a stand and make visitors discover their culinary specialties. The thirty-fifth edition in 2013 attracted nearly 5,000 visitors.
• Fête du Soleil: local variation of the music festival , but intended for families.
