The Hotel and Tourism School Spermalie is located in Bruges . This Catholic school was founded in 1952 by the Sisters of Spermalie . At the foundation it was a hotel school exclusively for girls, with six students. The school is now also accessible to boys.

A school uniform is mandatory. Much importance is attached to style, discipline, etiquette, sense of responsibility, honesty and hospitality.

Spermalie has a degree in Hotel in technical secondary education and Restaurant and Kitchen in vocational secondary education, in the first, second and third stages. In addition, tourism is taught from the second stage and the hospitality course from the third stage. A specialization is possible with Hotel Reception Bso or Gastronomy (Banquet Contractor-Caterer) Bso or a Se-n-Se training in Hotel Management and TSO (with credits for the Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management). For adults, deepening is possible in Bruges and Ghent .
