From the moment its doors opened in 1972, Hotel Lero has been woven into the fabric of Dubrovnik, creating unforgettable moments for generations of local visitors, travellers and team members. It was initially designed and built in 1971 as a student dormitory, but never fulfilled that role. Its destiny was to become one of the most beloved homes away from home in Dubrovnik, a place where families gather together to celebrate special occasions, where the locals meet all year round to talk about their day, where entrepreneurs talk business… That’s what Croatia’s hospitality is all about.

In almost half a century, Hotel Lero has been through many changes, adding new wings to the main building as well as an outdoor pool. The most recent additions to the hotel are the spacious Superior and Executive rooms in the new building next to the pool built in 2015, as well as the anti-allergy Classic Rooms in a hotel wing that was completely renovated in 2018. Although the hotel has changed colours and designs, one thing has remained the same – it is Dubrovnik’s meeting place. In its heart is the beautiful Piano Bar, where locals and travellers alike make business arrangements or simply come to relax with their loved ones.

The UNESCO-protected Old City of Dubrovnik, with its magnificent walls and historic sites, is just 1.7 kilometres away. The 15-minute stroll takes you through Boninovo with breath-taking views of the sea all the way to the city. If you don’t feel up to walking uphill on your way back to the hotel, simply take the first bus number 4 leaving from the city’s entrance (Pile Gate) and get off on the fourth stop, which is located almost at the hotel’s doors (mere 100 metres away).

You are only a 5-minute walk from the famous pebble Miramare Beach and several untamed rocky beaches, coupled with concrete plateaus. The crystal-clear turquoise sea, Dubrovnik’s sublime sunrises and plenty of shade in the afternoon – these are just a few of the reasons why the Miramare Beach is so popular. On the other hand, you are only a 15-minute walk from the Bay of Lapad (Uvala Lapad) on the city’s western side. This car-free promenade is perfect for families with children, featuring the largest beach in Dubrovnik, lots of restaurants, coffee bars and outdoor playgrounds.
