HISTORY

On January 8, 1893, the newly built hospital, built on the site of the former Panská louka, was consecrated and handed over to the Jindřichův Hradec public for use. It consisted of a main building with 52 beds, an infectious building with 18 beds and a death building. At the same time, the hospital acquired plot no. 406 / III and house no. 47 / III for economic facilities.

Almost at the same time, Jindřichův Hradec was enriched with another health institution. It was a vaccine institute, the third in Austria-Hungary (one in Vienna and the other in Lviv). The institute was established by Count Černín on the initiative of JUDr. Karel Jičínský, director of the estate, and according to the advice of MUDr. J. Rybák, district doctor. The institute began operations in May 1892, in 1926 it was transferred to Prague.

  • In the 1930s, the building of today’s surgery and urology, the building of today’s hospital and catering administration and the reservoir were built.
  • In 1966, a new microbiology building was put into operation.
  • In the eighties, the next stage of construction of the hospital took place. A boiler room with a waste incinerator, a transformer station, MTZ warehouses, a car workshop, a polyclinic and a pathology building were added. Reconstructions and reconstructions of buildings from the last century and the 1930s also took place at this time.
  • A laundry was built in 1990 and other buildings have been repaired and rebuilt since 1994.
  • In 1997, the construction of a new pavilion for acute medicine was started.
  • In May 1998, the transfusion station was moved to the newly built premises on the top floor of the polyclinic, where it started operating on June 1, 1998. The former OTS building began to be converted into a hospital for the long-term sick.
  • As of November 1, 1999, the hospital for the long-term ill began operation, which was created by the reconstruction of the building of the former transfusion station.
  • On October 3, 2001, the operation in the acute medicine pavilion was launched. There are operating theaters, ICU of postoperative fields, ARO, acute admission, RDG, surgical and gynecological clinic.
  • On November 7, 2001, a new main gate to the hospital complex from Vídeňská Street was opened. Other operations of the acute medicine pavilion were also put into operation, including the main entrance to the building with the reception.
  • In July 2003, a newly built hemodialysis center with a nephrology outpatient clinic was put into operation.
  • On 1 July 2004, the emergency medical service came under the administration of the regional authority.
  • In July 2005, the eye department was moved to the new premises of the renovated ground floor of Pavilion B.
  • As of January 1, 2006, the skin department was abolished.
  • 1.1.2007 from the Jindřichův Hradec District Hospital – the contributory organization became the Jindřichův Hradec Hospital as.
  • In February 2007, the maternity ward was moved to the new premises of the reconstructed Pavilion B.
  • On December 22, 2008, the babybox was put into operation.

PRESENT

Jindřichův Hradec Hospital, as is the only acute care medical facility in the largest district of the Czech Republic in the area, which is one of the most popular recreational areas due to its beautiful nature and large number of monuments.

As a provider of health services, the catchment area has 92,000 inhabitants, hospitalizes approximately 14,500 patients a year and performs around 95,000 outpatient examinations.

The hospital is located in the city center, in the immediate vicinity of a residential area. It is easily accessible by personal and public transport. The outpatient department is a polyclinic located in the hospital complex. The private sector is also represented in the polyclinic by a number of general practitioners and specialists.

In addition to inpatient pavilions and a polyclinic, there are also pathology, microbiology, pharmacy, dispensaries, bistros, headquarters buildings, including catering facilities, a laundry room, a boiler room and an energy center.

At present, the hospital has 338 beds in 10 wards:

ARO, NIP, surgery, pediatric, gynecological-obstetrical, internal, neurological, orthopedic, ENT, follow-up and rehabilitation care, DIOP, palliative care and social beds.

It provides outpatient services in the following fields:

Internal medicine, Angiology, Neurology, Nephrology, Pediatrics, Gynecology, Surgery, ARO, Ophthalmology, ENT, Urology, Orthopedic-traumatological, Gastroenterology, Dermatology, Clinical oncology, Hemodialysis, General practitioner for adults, Clinical biochemistry, Radiodiagnostics, Hematology and blood transfusions Rehabilitation and physiotherapy, Pathology, Microbiology, Transport.
