The hospital consisted of only 6 beds when it was founded. The JKZ is now a children’s hospital with a large outpatient clinic and 90 beds in several nursing wards. We treat premature babies and children with (congenital) disorders or other problems in our Neonatology department. The Juliana Children’s Hospital has the largest emergency care for children in the Netherlands. Every year we treat over 18,000 children here.

The JKZ is the only non-academic children’s hospital in the Netherlands. In the JKZ you will find all specialisms under one roof. Our specialists work together a lot. With each other, but also with the specialists from the Haga Hospital. The doctor who treats your child is always a pediatrician or a doctor who specializes in medicine for children. And the nurses are always specialized pediatric nurses. As a result, your son or daughter can always count on the best care.
