Kecel is a town in Bács-Kiskun county, in southern Hungary. The city has also developed a lot recently, with a significant expansion of infrastructure . In addition to the construction of the gas network, sewerage works have begun. Many parks and several fountains have been built in the settlement.

The Flora Flower Exhibition and Binding Competition is held in Kecel on the first weekend of December every year . The city is famous for its folk art traditions, thanks to the Hetrec Folk Dance Association , accordion competitions and folklore meetings.

The wine-growing and wine-producing settlement belongs to the Kunság wine region , its well-known wines are made from grapes produced on 2,600 hectares. 
On the Kiskőrös-Kalocsa railway line in 2007 . passenger transport has been suspended since March 4 .
