About the kindergarten
The rooms
In Børnehaven Floravej we are divided into 2 rooms by age. We put presence and togetherness at the forefront. We provide space for and support that each child can unleash its full potential through play, outdoor life and socializing with other children
In Børnehaven Floravej, we want and create an environment that is as similar to the home as possible, and which inspires play and creativity.
It is crucial for the individual child that it is noticed that the adults have an eye for the uniqueness of each individual. We want to support the individual child in developing self-esteem, believing in themselves and being able to say yes and no.
It is important that the children move in interpersonal relationships, that they have close relationships with other children and adults, that they experience friendships and cohesion.
Yellow living room is typically at ml. 12 and 16 children. The children can start as 2-year-olds, and it is in this living room that the youngest children sleep for dinner. When the children turn 3 years old, they gradually move to the Red Room, as there is a free space for them.
Red living room is the living room where the children are between 3 years and school age.
The children who have the age to be school children next year come to school group once a week from January to March. The school group also goes to a colony with a single overnight stay – the colony is in the year when the child is old enough to follow the school group, and not when it may have to go to school the following year.
In the Kindergarten there are:
Nice and safe to be
Adults who have an eye for the uniqueness of each child
Experiences with friendships, togetherness and close relationships
Great emphasis on play and creativity
Periods of work with music / book-canon.
Is the joy of the child important to you? – So let it go in Kindergarten Floravej
Everyday life is divided into two equally important parts of play and free space, planned and spontaneous offers. The adults must be very aware that they are role models for the children. We want to pass on our common cultural heritage and traditions to the children.
