About Kirkebakkeskolen

Our Kirkebakkeskole is beautifully located in Bredballe on a south-facing hill down towards Vejle Fjord. Here we are close to the beautiful nature and we can follow the seasons change. In 2010, the school underwent a thorough renovation and today appears as a state-of-the-art school with a welcoming framework that in every way aims to support and inspire learning in many ways. The learning center with the large staircase and stage forms the heart of the buildings. Here we meet for joint gatherings, concerts, theater, screenings, meetings and the like. In immediate extension of the stairs , our SFO scheme Skovtrolden is located.

Our new school has been developed with a focus on more mobile and flexible units, and supports the cross-cutting collaboration around learning and teaching. Kirkebakkeskolen has approx. 750 students with three to four tracks. In addition, we have two reception classes for bilingual students who come from different countries and who all have a mother tongue other than Danish. Kirkebakkeskolen is an internship school for University College Lillebælt (UCL). This means that every year we receive teacher and pedagogue students in internships at different times of the school year.

Management of the school

The daily management and team collaboration at Kirkebakkeskolen is based on our management basis.

RUNNING THE SCHOOL IS A COMMON TASK

Our understanding of teamwork is characterized by the fact that we see our work as a common task, where we have a functional division of labor. This division of labor is clarified in our organizational plan. We organize our collaboration in established continuous meetings divided between operations and educational management. Reflection, communication and learning are key words in our collaboration, and this applies both in relation to the individual, our mutual relations, as well as the common management task.

THE MANAGEMENT BASIS GIVES US DIRECTION

The management basis in its structure is based on Kirkebakkeskolen’s Core Narrative as well as the management basis for the school system in Vejle Municipality and Vejle Municipality’s School Vision incorporated and implemented.
