At Kullbergska Hospital, medical, surgical and psychiatric care is provided, both acute and planned. The hospital is responsible for the care and treatment of primarily residents within the western part of the county (Katrineholm, Flen and Vingåker municipalities) with almost 60,000 inhabitants. Kullbergska Hospital has joint clinics with Mälar Hospital and Nyköping Hospital.

The core of care at Kullbergska Hospital is focused on the elderly patient, supplemented by a highly efficient unit for planned operations. The hospital is the county’s specialist center for screening activities. In addition, there is a unit for clinic research with a focus on local healthcare in collaboration with the other hospitals in Sörmland.
