The Laurentius is a hospital with strong roots in the region. Our motto is: ‘Loving care with passion’. This is what we stand for and how we treat our patients. We provide care as you would wish for yourself if you are a patient, with attention, optimism, expertise and respect. Naturally, the individual needs of the patient always remain the guiding principle in our work and we assist patients in a way that suits them. The four values we apply (attention, optimism, respect and expertise) are the basis of our actions and concisely express the inspiration in our work.
- We give people the attention they deserve: we want to make patients feel welcome, we want to create an atmosphere of hospitality. We want to give them all the attention and attention they deserve. At the Laurentius Hospital, patients are not numbers, but people.
- We provide courage and support to patients so that they feel empowered to bear the consequences of their illness or condition. Patients should feel in good hands, trusted and at ease. The optimism that we propagate does not mean that we provide unrealistic information, but that we mainly point out possibilities rather than limitations to patients and their loved ones.
- Expertise can be expected from us at all levels of our organization. This expertise is not only a guarantee for the safe care that we offer patients. But it is also an incentive for our own organization to continue to work on the training and development of our own employees.
- Respect is the basis of our actions. This value requires an openness to the individuality and the particularity of the individual and of the situation. Respect emerges in respecting someone’s privacy, both spatially, physically, and with regard to the information about someone. We, as medical specialists and employees, also deserve equal respect from patients and visitors.
