Geography
Capital of the canton, the city is located about 2 kilometers from the Mediterranean Sea , north of the beaches and ports of Cannes .

Historical monuments
The listed or classified monuments are:
- Chapel of Notre-Dame-des-Anges du Cannet
- Sainte-Catherine du Cannet Church
- Tour des Danys (or Maison du Brigand)
- Villa Le Bosquet by painter Pierre Bonnard
- The Tour des Danys (or Tour des Brigands). It bears the name of one of the founding families of Le Cannet. It was built by the monks of Lerins to close the city on the old road of Cannes.
- The villa Le Bosquet, 29 avenue Victoria. It was bought by the painter Pierre Bonnard in 1926. This villa was the site of Bonnard’s last stylistic period. The painter will occupy it until his death.

Other monuments
- the wall of lovers: painted by Raymond Peynet in the heart of Vieux-Cannet.
- la tour des Calvys: old fortified house bearing the name of the first founding family of Le Cannet.
- the old town hall, 396 rue Saint-Sauveur;
- City Hall. The building was built in 1902 on the city’s main thoroughfare.
- the Bonnard museum ;
- the Pierre-Bonnard space in the former Anglican chapel.

- Boulevard Carnot (Sadi Carnot): starting from the historic center, it leads to Cannes and its seaside
- the Place Bellevue / rue Saint-Sauveur ensemble: many craftsmen.
- the villas in rue Auguste-Cavasse and rue Jean-Jacques-Sardou built around 1908: villa Cantegril, villa le Nid, villa Ketty built in 1908 by the architect Henri Stœcklin and the entrepreneur Verne.
Sport
The town has several clubs playing at the highest levels of national or even European competitions:
- within the sports club of ES Le Cannet-Rocheville, the women’s volleyball is currently playing in Ligue A ;
- partner ES Cannet-Rocheville, the club of wheelchair basketball of HB Le Cannet was crowned European champion in 2014.
