Liebherr in Ireland

Liebherr products from Ireland are highly regarded internationally. For example, ship-to-shore container cranes from Killarney are used in more than 100 ports throughout the world. The Irish success story of the Liebherr Group dates back to the foundation of Liebherr Ireland Ltd. in 1958. Now trading under the name Liebherr Container Cranes Ltd., the company initially produced tower cranes in Killarney. The portfolio of Liebherr in Ireland has been continuously extended since then: The Group now owns three Irish companies. The activities range from maritime cranes and construction machines through to hotels.

Locations

The three Irish companies in the Liebherr Group are spread across two locations: Rathcoole near the capital Dublin in the eastern part of the country and Killarney in southwest Ireland.
