Mission
The Centro Hospitalar de Lisboa Ocidental (CHLO) has the mission of providing healthcare to all citizens within the scope of the responsibilities and capacities of the hospital units that comprise it, implementing the definitions of health policy at national and regional level, to strategic plans and decisions that are superiorly approved.
CHLO also develops complementary activities such as pre- and post-graduate education, research and training, subject to national regulation that governs the subject of teaching – learning processes in the health field, without prejudice to the conclusion of contracts for effects of internal organization, investment sharing and compensation of charges that are entered into.

· Implementation of outpatient and home health care projects to minimize the impact of hospitalization;
