The Sanctuary was built in the early 1600s in a neoclassical style, with a Latin cross, alternating the piperno gray of the cornices with the white of the walls. Upon entering, one is fascinated by the beauty of the small temple built by Bartolomeo Picchiatti in 1621 which houses the venerated image of the Madonna.
