Municipality of Bukovlje

The Municipality of Bukovlje is a local self-government unit in the Brod-Posavina County.


By area, the Municipality of Bukovlje is one of the smallest of the 26 municipalities in the Brod-Posavina County, covering 31.6 km².

After the Homeland War and the large exodus of the population, especially from Bosanska Posavina, the municipality experienced a sudden expansion and intensive settlement, resulting in the emergence of new streets, particularly on the outskirts of the settlements of Bukovlje, Vranovci, and Šušnjevci. According to the 2021 census, the Municipality of Bukovlje has 2,727 inhabitants, which is still a significant increase compared to 1991, when it had 1,861 inhabitants.
