The Dugo Polje Business Zone is the first official economic zone in Kiseljak.
Our goal was to create, in one place, all the necessary conditions for potential investors to develop their businesses; to establish a center of economic activity outside the town center; to focus our resources and activities on the development of large-scale entrepreneurship in a single location; and, of course, to direct the Municipality of Kiseljak towards maximizing economic growth and the creation of new jobs.
STRATEGIC LOCATION WITHIN A REGION OF GREAT POTENTIAL
The Municipality of Kiseljak is located in the Central Bosnia Canton, at the crossroads of routes running from south to north and from east to west across Bosnia and Herzegovina. Since 2015, it has also been connected to the constructed section of the Corridor Vc motorway.
According to the latest official census from 2013, the Municipality of Kiseljak has 20,722 inhabitants.
Situated in the heart of the Central Bosnia region, Kiseljak has always been an important transport and trade center thanks to its location and its proximity to Sarajevo.
ACCESS TO CORRIDOR
For a time, the Municipality of Kiseljak was the only one in the Central Bosnia Canton with direct access to Corridor Vc. A 9.5 km section of the motorway runs through Kiseljak, opening up numerous opportunities for the municipality, primarily economic, since good transport connectivity is one of the key conditions for economic development.
Since the summer of 2016, thanks to the regional road R443a Resnik–Volujak, the Municipality of Kreševo has also gained access to the Corridor Vc motorway via the Lepenica interchange in the Municipality of Kiseljak.
KISELJAK – A CITY OF GROWTH AND TRADITION
Kiseljak is today a thriving urban center, marked by the steady growth of residential neighborhoods, six primary schools, a secondary school, higher education institutions, and a developed, stable economy.
Although relatively young, modern Kiseljak has grown thanks to the many mineral water springs (kiseljak) scattered throughout the valley. These natural resources shaped its identity as a tourist and spa destination, a role it proudly held before the last war.
Today, Kiseljak is expanding in every direction, striving to become if not the largest and most developed then certainly one of the most prosperous centers of Central Bosnia.
Set in a picturesque landscape at the confluence of three rivers, Kiseljak has preserved its natural wealth and beauty. Widely recognized as a key transit and trading hub, it is best known for its traditions: mineral water, local pastries, spa heritage and, soon without doubt, for the success of the Dugo Polje Business Zone.
