Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda

Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital provides acute medical and surgical services as well as maternity services to the catchment area of Louth, Meath and the surrounding hinterland including parts of north county Dublin.

The main Emergency Department for Louth Meath Hospital Group is located at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. It is supported by an Acute Medical Assessment Unit (AMAU), which provides immediate and early specialist management of adult medical patients and by a Minor Injuries Unit in Louth County Hospital Dundalk and the Emergency Department in Our Lady’s Hospital Navan. Emergency services are provided in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital 365 days a year 24 hours a day.

Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital is a Tobacco Free Campus. This means it is no longer possible to smoke anywhere on the hospital campus. The policy applies to all staff, patients, visitors, contractors and anyone who enters the hospital buildings or grounds. This will ensure a healthier, safer and cleaner environment for all and better health outcomes for patients and staff.

Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital has introduced an ‘Art in Hospital Programme‘.The aim of the programme is to use art within the hospital to enhance the physical environment for patients, service users and staff.
