The Parkbos is a 1200 ha forest and park area on the south side of Ghent in East Flanders . It is one of the four green poles under construction around the city of Ghent. The other three are Gentbrugse Meersen , Vinderhoutse Bossen and Oud Vliegveld .

The area encloses 340 ha of woodland, 200 ha of park and nature reserve and 500 ha of agricultural area. This includes a number of existing parks and forests such as Scheldevelde , Park de Ghellinck d’Elseghem and Maaltebruggepark as well as various castle sites. Other parts are new plantings.

For the connection with the city of Ghent, two bicycle lodges were constructed for the E40 and the Ringvaart on the former route of the De Pinte-Ghent railway line .
