The Péterfy Sándor Street Hospital-Clinic and Emergency Center of Budapest, one of the leading medical institutions in the capital VII. district.

Organizational structure 

The total number of beds in Péterfy Street Hospital in 1991 was 1235. Inpatient specialist care within the institution was provided in the first quarter of 2009 in the following departments:

  • Department of Internal Medicine (175 beds, of which 65 in the Alliance Street Department);
  • cardiology department (90 beds);
  • neurology department (54 beds);
  • oncology department (50 beds);
  • urological-surgical department (25 beds);
  • ear-nose-throat class (20 beds);
  • ophthalmology department (20 beds);
  • Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology (45 beds);
  • neonatology (neonatal) and infant wards (30 beds);
  • surgical department (65 beds);
  • Department of Accident and Plastic Surgery (76 beds);
  • Department of Emergency Internal Medicine and Clinical Toxicology (40 beds);
  • intensive care unit (16 beds);
  • crisis intervention and psychiatric ward (60 beds).

In addition to the above, the institute is home to chronic internal medicine and rehabilitation departments, diagnostic laboratories, and outpatient clinics.
