NAUTICAL CLUB LABUD PRELOG – Today, the Drava tradition is kept by the Nautical club Labud Prelog. The race on traditional Drava boats known as “Swan Feather Hunting” organized by the Nautical Club Labud (Labud meaning swan) gathers a large number of Drava River and water sports lovers at the beginning of July. In addition to rowing, two traditional games on water attract a large number of viewers – slingshots and “alka”. Club members actively participate in other actions that are organized in the sports park Vrbica and its surroundings, such as Earth Day, World Water Day and others. In addition to the working part, boaters also know how to relax, so they participate in the carnival procession through the streets of Prelog. At the beginning of September, the Nautical Club traditionally participates in the commemoration of the 1953 tragedy, when fourteen inhabitants of Prelog lost their lives in the Drava River. Club members will be happy to take you on a boat ride on the river.

The town of Prelog has always been the social, cultural, tourist and economic center of Donje Međimurje. In the last few years, the economy of the City of Prelog is experiencing intensive development again.
With its numerous cultural events, Prelog attracts the population of Međimurje County, but also neighboring counties, as well as tourists from abroad. The main symbols that characterize Prelog are: the church of St. Jakob, Sports and Recreation Zone Prelog, Museum Croata insulanus, Geothermal Spring Draškovec and the Church of St. Roka in Draškovac. Prelog organizes numerous events in cooperation with the Tourist Board of the City and the House of Culture, among which stand out: Carnival, Flower Fair, Youth Sports Games, May Day Bike Ride, Strawberry Festival, Village Games, Baroque Evenings, Opera under the Stars, Summer Nights City of Prelog and others.
