Public Utility Company “Vodovod” Cazin was registered with the Cantonal Court in Bihać following the division of the Public Utility Company “Komunalije,” by decision number: U/l-596/03 dated May 13, 2003. The subject registration number is: 1-5007-00.
The Municipal Council of Cazin, by its decision number: 01/V-05-4029/05 dated May 31, 2005, harmonized the earlier Decision on the organization of JKP “Vodovod” Cazin from November 23, 2002, with the Law on Business Companies (Official Gazette of the FBiH, numbers 23/99, 45/00, 2/02, 6/02, and 29/03) and the Law on Public Enterprises in the Federation of BiH (Official Gazette of the FBiH, number 8/05).
This harmonization, including the change of company name and form, was registered with the Cantonal Court in Bihać on July 4, 2005. The current company name is: Public Utility Company “Vodovod” Ltd. Cazin.
The total length of the water supply network in the City of Cazin exceeds 1000 km and includes 6 separate water supply systems that together form the water supply system of the City of Cazin. This system is centrally managed from the headquarters of JKP “Vodovod” Ltd. Cazin.

The total length of the water supply network in the City of Cazin exceeds 1000 km and includes 6 separate water supply systems that together form the city’s water supply system. This system is centrally managed from the headquarters of JKP “Vodovod” Ltd. Cazin.
The water supply system comprises 11 wells with deep pumps and 19 booster stations, totaling 29 water facilities.
The complexity of the water supply system is reflected in the fact that 97% of water is sourced from underground springs, while only 3% comes from surface sources, supported by 48 pumps with a total installed power of around 1500 kW.
JKP “Vodovod” Ltd. invests annually, within its capabilities, in new infrastructure projects aimed at ensuring conditions and improving the quality of water supply and wastewater management. These activities are partly financed from its own resources and partly from various external sources, including the City of Cazin budget, the Canton, the Government of the Federation of BiH, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), UNDP, and others.
