On behalf of the regional directors, there is a national collaboration group (RCC in collaboration), with the managers of the six regional cancer centers. SKR is a supporting party and is responsible for the chairmanship of the group.

The collaboration group works to implement the intentions of the cancer strategy, among other things by creating national coordination of guidelines and care programs, coordinating quality registers and working for guidelines regarding education, development and research.

The collaboration group is also an advisory body in cancer issues to SKR, the National Board of Health and Welfare and the Ministry of Social Affairs and prepares documentation and reports to the regional director group.
