Production of day-old chicks and eggs
The core activity of the company ROBINS LLC, located in Glibovac near Smederevska Palanka, is poultry farming, specifically the production of day-old broiler chicks. We have been engaged in this line of work since 1994.
In the early years, we operated as an agricultural household, and in 2001, the company for production, trade, and services ROBINS LLC was established. The production process begins with the procurement of day-old parent stock from one of the grandparent centers in the EU. These chicks are raised on our farms for 20 weeks, after which they are moved to production farms, where we obtain high-quality hatching eggs from them.
Raising Parent Stock
The core activity of ROBINS LLC is poultry breeding and the production of day-old broiler chicks.
Our production begins with the import of day-old parent chicks from one of the global grandparent centers.
We source our parent stock from AVIAGEN, using the ROSS 308 hybrid. The transport of day-old parent chicks is carried out by specialized vehicles under strictly controlled conditions.
The key to successful production lies in the proper rearing of the parent flock, during which all strict technological criteria must be met. One of the first requirements is placing the chicks in a well-prepared facility, which means a thoroughly cleaned, disinfected, and heated space equipped with appropriate feed and drinking water.
The rearing of the parent stock is conducted in two cycles at the following locations:
- Azanja, where there are 5 facilities with a total area of 4,000 m²
- Veliko Laole, where there are 4 facilities with a total area of 5,200 m²
- Božurnja, where there are 5 facilities with a total area of 3,000 m²
In these facilities, the parent flock is kept until the 20th week, after which they are moved to production facilities. During the rearing period, the poultry is under constant supervision by the competent Veterinary Specialist Institutes.
Production of Day-Old Chicks

Production of Day-Old Broiler Chicks We began producing day-old broiler chicks back in 1996, using handmade incubators and some older machines. Over the years, we have continuously worked on implementing new technologies and acquiring the most advanced incubators.
The incubation of hatching eggs is a highly complex process that requires monitoring of various parameters such as:
- air temperature,
- eggshell temperature,
- CO₂ levels,
- air humidity,
- egg weight loss,
- egg turning, and
- ventilation.
To stay competitive in the market, it is essential to produce top-quality chicks using the highest quality incubators. We currently produce the majority of our day-old broiler chicks in SINGLE STAGE incubators, which provide excellent results in the later stages of broiler fattening.
Our hatchery is equipped with PETERSIME incubators
We currently operate four hatchery stations:
- Hatchery Station Glibovac 1 – Capacity: 350,000 eggs in setters and 63,300 eggs in hatchers
- Hatchery Station Glibovac 2 – Capacity: 1,840,000 eggs in setters and 306,600 eggs in hatchers
- Hatchery Station Lužnice – Capacity: 345,600 eggs in setters and 57,600 eggs in hatchers
- Hatchery Station Božurnja – Capacity: 230,400 eggs in setters and 96,000 eggs in hatchers
On a weekly basis, we can incubate around 900,000 hatching eggs.
We transport day-old chicks to our clients using our own vehicles, which are equipped with high-quality heating and ventilation systems, ensuring safe transport regardless of external conditions.
Reliable chick transport is one of the key factors for successful broiler production.
Each of our vehicles can accommodate and deliver approximately 350,000 day-old chicks at once.
Broiler Fattening
In addition to the production of day-old broiler chicks, our company is also engaged in broiler fattening. This activity is carried out in leased facilities located in Veliko Laole (with a capacity of 88,000 broilers per cycle) and Salakovac (with a capacity of 75,000 broilers per cycle).
The facilities at both locations have been fully renovated and equipped with state-of-the-art technology for broiler fattening.
