The Salesianos-Colégio de Évora is a Catholic school, founded in 1926. Since then, it has been guided by the Salesians – priests and brothers – dedicated, fundamentally, to the education of youth.

The Salesians-College of Évora aims to be a welcoming home, a parish that evangelises, a school that forms for life and a meeting place for friends who know how to live in joy.

As a Catholic school, it is inspired by the values ​​of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and exercises its action within the mission of the Church, as a Christian, Educational, Salesian and School proposal.

As a Christian proposal:

* Develops its mission based on evangelical principles, vitalizing all its educational action.
* It promotes the integral formation of the person based on Christian values.

As an educational proposal:

* We are at the service of young people, seeking to awaken and promote the integral and harmonious development of the person, taking into account the ever new demands of the youth condition.
* We propose, therefore, to create the necessary environment of life and Christian witness that leads to the integral formation of the person.

As a school proposal:

* We strive for intellectual and cultural training, taking into account the curricula and program content in force in the country.
* The Salesians – Escola de Évora have Pedagogical Parallelism for Pre-school and Basic Education.

As a Salesian proposal:

* It is inspired by the pedagogical method practiced by S. João Bosco – the preventive system – whose fundamental principles are Reason , Religion and Kindness and which translates:

• in a welcoming , simple and natural attitude that favors trust;
• in a friendship and family spirit that facilitate understanding and conviviality;
• in an optimism and joy that impress a youthful style in all personal relationships;
• in a cordial educational presence through the constant contact of the educator with the students.

* It is at the service of evangelization and catechesis.

* Develops the family spirit, through searching, meeting, welcoming and dialogue

* It is inserted in the area where it is located, contributing to its promotion, through the animation of cultural and educational services.

* Encourages recreational-sports activities, in order to a balanced body, psychic and social development.

* Encourages the practice of activities for the occupation of free time.
