Solana d.d. Tuzla (SASE: SOLTR3) is one of the oldest companies in today’s Bosnia and Herzegovina. The main activity of the company is the exploitation and processing of natural salt as the head of the industry in the city of Tuzla. Salt production in Tuzla dates back to the Neolithic era, because Tuzla is one of the largest salt deposits in Europe, so the need for the establishment of a plant for industrial exploitation and processing of salt in the area of today’s Tuzla. The company focused on the placement of its products on both domestic and foreign markets. Over the years, the company’s production and storage facilities have undergone modernization to meet the growing market demand for the products this company offers.

Solana d.d. Tuzla produces the following products:

• They are dietary
• Industrial welds are non-iodized
• They are tableted
• They are nitrite

• Salt for sprinkling roads

In addition to salt products, Solana is also engaged in the production of other food products:

• DO-DO spice – a universal addition to dishes with dried vegetables
• Ready-made soups
• Distilled water

Solana successfully markets its products on the domestic and foreign markets. Some of these markets are: Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Macedonia, Montenegro and Kosovo.
