Sights

The Esterházy Castle, built in 1718 , is under monumental protection, but has been in a neglected condition for a long time. It was renovated in 2006 and has been operating as a town hall ever since.

  • School building

The first school of the settlement was built in 1795 , it was expanded or rebuilt several times. It gained its present form in 1907 and also enjoys monument protection. It was renovated again a few years ago, and the house of culture has been operating here ever since.

  • Granary

The building, which had long functioned as a shoe factory on the north side of Main Road 6, was completed as a granary for the manor in 1762 , and has since been altered to such an extent that it has lost its monumental character.

  • Koncz-Brantner House

It was built in the 18th century and was the residence of the estate’s officers. It is located in Munkályy Mihály Street, at the corner of Road 6 . It is a listed building. At first it functioned as a residential house and then as a private museum. The museum part has a unique collection of civic housing culture of the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries .

  • Catholic church

It was built in 1718 in Baroque style. A notable attraction is a holy water reservoir converted from a Turkish basin. His organ is the work of József Angster from Pécs .

  • Reformed Church

Construction began in 1935 and was consecrated in 1937 on the corner of Szent Imre and Munkácsy Mihály streets. It was made in a rather rare architectural style in the country (Transylvanian castle church).

  • The building of the former district court in Kossuth Lajos Street was built in the second half of the 18th century .
