Talvisalo School is a primary school in Savonlinna . After the renovation, Pihlajavesi Special School moved to the premises of Talvisalo School and the schools merged into Talvisalo School at the beginning of 2011. At that time, the number of students in the school rose to about 350 students. Savonlinna city on the west side of 6th grade primary schools pupils were transferred to study in the autumn of 2011 Winter Saloon. Before that, school was just middle school. In the autumn of 2018, the operations of the Talvisalo school expanded to include another office in Heikinpohja, in the old premises of the teacher training institute , after the University of Eastern Finland closed down the Savonlinna normal school as part of the transfer of the teacher training institute to Joensuu.. Classes 1-6 operate at the Heikinpohja office and classes 7-9 at the main office in Talvisalo.
