Our mission is based on the provision of primary, differentiated and continuous health care to the population of the district of Bragança, providing a capable response to their needs and expectations, promoting the rational and efficient use of all resources, in a culture of humanization of services and motivation and development of employees.

Our vision is to invest in excellence in the provision of care, in a perspective of vertical integration of the different levels of care, in conjunction with existing community resources, placing the user / patient at the center of our activity.

Legislation

The Northeast Local Health Unit (ULSNE) comprises the three Hospital Units and 14 Health Centers that serve the population of the Bragança district. It was created in 2011, by Decree-Law No. 67/2011, of 2 June, to encompass the health units of the extinct Centro Hospitalar do Nordeste and the extinct Group of Health Centers of Alto Trás-os-Montes I – North East.

ULSNE is a public corporate entity with capital exclusively held by the State, endowed with administrative, financial and patrimonial autonomy.

In the clinical area, he works at the level of Primary Health Care, Hospital Care, Urgency, Emergency and Intensive Care, Palliative Care and Public Health.

ULSNE’s strategic objective is to satisfy, in a sustainable way, the health needs of the population residing in its area of ​​influence, with emphasis on health promotion and disease prevention.

Excellence in the provision of healthcare to users is a basic element of the institution’s global strategy.
