Viru Keemia Grupp, located in Kohtla-Järve, is Estonia’s largest shale oil producer based on private capital, which proudly continues the tradition of valuing Estonian oil shale, which began in 1924. The company has been based on private capital since 1997 through the privatization of AS Kiviter.
